Hey there! I’m Ana Barnett, the founder of Macchi, a boutique in South Carolina that sells handmade artisan goods. I have always loved fashion and a dream to open a boutique that showcases artisan work from my home in Paraguay.

My mom has been the inspiration behind the brand. Macchi was her maiden name, and the brand represents the national tree of Paraguay, the Lapacho. She was a strong woman who always put her family first. She lived her life for her kids, and she never truly gave herself credit for how loving, grounded, and strong she was.

I believe artisan work is very much the same – it’s specialized, and they work so hard to create unique quality products. Although she passed away in 2014, I feel her every step of the way in this business venture. I love to bring goods from South America specifically, Paraguay, that are unique and one of a kind.
